Focus 1.8 TDCi Sport - Dash/Warning Lights/Boot

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a number of problems that all suddenly occurred at the same time yesterday. I drove to the supermarket and all was fine. I got in my car to drive back and the faults all occurred. I'm initially guessing water ingress somewhere.....

1. My courtesy light stayed on when all doors were closed (it has since rectified itself)

2. The central locking would automatically unlock immediately I tried to lock it - as if a door wasn't closed properly (this has since rectified itself). I also get no "indicator flash" when I double lock the car, which I got before.

3. The indicators (and hazards) work but the green directional arrows on the instruments panel don't.

4. The handbrake light stays on even when the handbrake is off.

5. The amber engine warning light is on.

6. The boot only opens with the button on the key fob and not with the boot latch, even though the car is unlocked.

7. The alarm randomly goes off on its own.

All other electrics work fine.

I have read elsewhere about a multiplug in the "rear passenger" area, but can find no more detail on exactly where it is or how to get to it. I thank everyone in advance for any help they can offer.
