acceleration reduced

Featured Replies

hi i have a ford focus 2004 and i have the message 'Acceleration reduced' the other day. I  switched off the machine and starded  it again and turned off the message. I took it to the engineer and put it in the diagnostic but it did not show a problem with the engine.  any help????????

What engine is it?  i.e. 1.6 TDCi or 1.8 petrol etc.

could be absolutely anything, without codes its a needle in a hay stack, intermittent faults are notorious hard to track down.

but, I did some googling and there are some suggestions that it might actually be related to a common problem with early Ford Focus's and it could be something to do with the cluster.

but that's a guess, keep running it and see if you get any other messages / warnings

that's some engine, a Dodge Vyper has an 8L V10, Hell that's not far off a Merlin V12 used in the spitfire :D

I'm thinking you mean the 1.4L? :)
