Smartphone that work with Sync 3

Featured Replies

Ford's web site that shows which phones were compatible with sync has been taken down. Does anyone have / know of a list of smartphones that fully work with sync 3?

Don't know about a list phones that fully work but Apple iphone from 5s and above do.   Although Apple phones need to be connected via USB rather than Bluetooth for some features to work.

Can't comment from personal experience. However, this link may help (just fill in the model and sync version) https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/phone/phones-compatible-with-sync.html?year=2017&model=Focus&sync=sync3#?year=2017&model=Focus&syncGen=sync3&country=us

There's nothing about phones on that link. As I said on my first post Ford did have a working site where you could see what phones did what with Sync, but its been down for a couple of weeks now and ford can't say when it will be up and working again.

???  I can see loads of Android phone manufacturers using  that link.  Just enter "Sync 3" in the version box and the page will update. You should see a list if you then page down.

Works fine for me. Maybe browser related.

I simply enter Year, Model and Sync version in the drop three down boxes provided and it then shows a long list of supported phones and a filter option. Under each phone there is additional info about the Sync features supported on specific phone firmware etc.
