Dave1981
Treated my mk2.5 2.0 titanium petrol to a new battery today, it's still on the original Ford silver calcium one. Euro car parts sale convinced me, Bosch S4 for £70.. Currently charging it overnight before fitting it. Anyone got any experience of Bosch battery's out of curiosity? andypsp
don`t think you really need to charge your new batt up. aslong as it`s the same length and hight you will no have a problem with the fitting. good trusted name so just hang-on to your eurocarparts recipt as you`ll need that if ever you have a problem within the 3-4yrs for the batt

The advice from Varta (produced in the same Johnson Controls factories as Bosch and very similar if not identical batteries) is not to fit a new battery until it has been charged up to at least 12.5 volts.
Dave1981
I've always charged new batteries over night before fitting. I can tell difference though with the new Bosch. Turns over alot faster now an starts quicker, lights hardly dim at all now when switching on heated seats windscreens etc.. Very happy.
