Ford Sony dab head unit upgrade to android head unit

Hi.

Has any one fitted in an android head unit to replace the sony dab unit? I have fitted it on my ford smax tdci 140PS 2013 as the OEM unit was faulty.

The android unit is working as it should be though I've lost the converse+ function which is fine. One minor issue is that I lost the audible beeps from my parking sensors. On the OEM unit the audio goes through the vehicle's stock speakers where the volume automatically fades when it is in use. The android unit came with a canbus interface to allow use of steering wheel controls and power supply management.

I've contacted the head unit's seller and they said that the canbus decoder may not be compatible. 

My alternative is to fit an aftermarket reg plate reversing camera with parking sensors. Before I drill holes and start installing new wiring for this I wondered if anyone has come across the same issues and if there is a workaround for this? Thank you in advance for your responses.
