wilto
New spoiler arrived this week from Maxton design, got to get it painted first, but have been informed that I'll need to extend the rear washer tubing and also the brake light wiring. I'm not to concerned about the difficulty of extending the washer tubing, except as to whether the tube ID is 3mm or not. My only real concern is how to extend the wiring for the third brake light, how many wires are there, if it's just live and earth then I'll be ok I think. Any advice would be great. Chris. Stoney871
Just 2 wires, but they are the same colour and thickness so only cut / splice one at a time. Best way is to tin and solder the joints but crimps will work fine. In either case I strongly recommend you use heatshrink tubing on the joints for proper water sealing, tape just doesn't cut it (except maybe Self Amalgamating tape) To extend the washer pipe just buy some tubing and joints from a tropical fish shop or suchlike.
wilto
Cheers Clive, don't know what size the washer tubing is by any chance?
