Needing advice on parts for my escort rs2000, needing suspension preferably coil overs, Ford mudflaps, and headlights was hoping for angel eyes, how to squeeze more hp from the engine too without costing an arm and leg, any advice would be appreciated 

How much is an arm and a leg to you? 

Simple upgrades would be an air filter and exhaust, no idea on gains though. Then you're look at replacing the cam shafts and possibly a remap. From memory, I don't think you can get too much more out of it without doing serious work to it.

My brother had a MK5 RS2000 back in the 90's and I though that used to go quite well...certainly quicker than my 1.8 Sierra Sapphire. He bought it with a load of upgrades already but nothing serious to increase the engine output, though there was speculation that it turbo'd previously, but I didn't see any evidence of that. It had Koni adjustable shocks and lowered springs, 3" custom exhaust (loudest thing in the world, I swaer) with the CAT removed, K&N filter, Cosworth leather seats, bonnet vents, grille and whale tail, Azev alloys, 3 spoke RS steering wheel.
