Exhaust specifications needed.

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

I'm new to the forum and this is my first thread so if it's not posting in the correct place I do apologise.

I have a MK3 Focus Zetec S 1.6 Ecoboost, I've had her since July and I'm wanting to get a custom exhaust. I was looking at going to a shop to get one built but my boss' close friend is a welder and fabricator that can easily whip up a custom exhaust.

He's asked for the exhaust specifications, as in the route the exhaust takes under the car with angles and lengths. I'm guessing this is so he doesn't have to take my exhaust off and copy the corners etc.

I've looked through numerous different places to try and find this information but I can't find it anywhere. If someone has this info, or could point me in the right direction that would be brilliant.

Cheers. 👍👍

Good luck in finding that info mate lol.

Haha I know right 😂 probably just going to spend the extra and get a shop to do it for me.

Unless someone knows an engineer who works for the company that supplies the exhausts for Ford, I'm sure it'll be easy.

No in all seriousness they are normally fabricated as one piece from the catalytic converter back, that's why when you go to replace a worn out part of an original exhaust some places shake their heads and make that "tut tut" sound.

I've had a stainless steel twin exit system custom built for my car, it's got a lifetime warranty, so I don't have to worry about my exhaust again.

Ah fair enough then, I'll probably just take it down to the shop that does the custom ones then, they advertise the stainless steel exhausts with lifetime warranty as well so just for ease of knowing that if anything breaks, it's covered, I'll just go to them.

Cheers though :)
