Morning,

Can anyone tell me which fuse to hardwire the dashcam into on a Mk3 Titanium?  I want it ignition fed rather than permanent - also wondered if some fuses would drop voltage if the stop start operates?   

Also, can you buy ready cut 3M adhesive pads for the B40c/A118c camera?  I'm sure I've seen them before but can only find either circles or squares now.

Have you considered a fuse tap type setup Tom? That way you are not damaging any of the cars wiring to fit or remove when the time comes. 

Yeah it is a fuse tap as part of a hardwire kit, won't be cutting anything.   Its currently in the mk2 but struggling to find the correct fuse on the mk3 with the search on here.  

Fuse 85 is the one that I was advised to use and it works fine, unsure about the start stop as mine is not working at the moment (think a new battery is needed). I used one of the screws holding the glovebox in for the earth.

I have the same camera but I couldn't find any of the ready cut 3M pads so I ended up buying a bunch (12 I think) of the different shapes and I cut them to size myself. I did 2 cameras, front and rear, think I still had 6/7 of them left over.

I've only got the front camera atm so don't need much.  Did you find a use for the rest of it?  If not I'd buy some from you, shouldn't cost much to post.

I  installed a rear view camera by using 2 cigarette lighter plugs providing separate power sources for front monitor and rear view camera will provide pictures as soon as daylight appears

I'm not too fussed about adding a rear dashcam currently, I've already got the front one and can't really afford to be buying another atm.  Besides, I'm usually travelling fast enough to not worry about being rear ended...

Afraid its all been used now as this was over a year ago, its not expensive to buy but sure does come in handy.

Also, how do I know if I've got auto high-beams (car isn't on the road yet so can't road test)?  Is it a Titanium feature or optional/xenon only?  If it uses the dimming mirror sensor I'll have to make sure I don't cover it with the dashcam if so...

It works out as 9,450mm square for just under £2.  Where a 100mmx100mm square costs just under £5 for 10,000mm square.

PS - Still haven't worked out if I have auto high beam.  There's an option in the lighting menu for 'auto dimming' but not sure if that's for something else like ambient lights lol?
