Hi, my boot doesn't open on my Ford focus tdci zetec08 plate. When I use the fob it just makes a clicking noise, same as when I try to open it by pulling the handle on it. 

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

I've checked the manual and looked online but there doesn't seem to be a way of opening it manually which is a pain.

Hi,

It could be the electronic boot handle needs replacing, if its any help i can guide you on getting the boot open; but it involves climing inside through thd back seat.

You will need a TX40 or TX50 torx bit along with a flat head screwdriver to pop two plastic caps giving you access to the torx, doesn't involve breaking anything atall,

If interested I'll invest more time responding with images and guide.

Overall process will see the bottom of the boot latch unbolted from the body allowing the boot to open, you can then remove the boot panel and access everything to free the latch.

But if you don't replace anything then it's back to square one when you close it.
