Evening.  Am new to this forum.  Am after some advice due to an intermittent fault am having with the Sony DAB radio screen to my Mk3 2012 Focus Titanium. The sound is never at fault just the screen will either work, disappear  (black screen) or an array of multicoloured vertical lines.   Initially thought could be a battery issue but have ruled that out as stop /start and everything else functions. I have two Communication DTC codes that have come up C401_64 and C200_00. Ford are taking car in next weds for a recall issue due to the coolant and are trying to charge £99 for a diagnostic to which am not going to pay as no other issues with the car.

Any ideas, worse case scenario, I could source a replacement AM5T-18B955-CH?  I have taken apart tonight to obtaim the number. have done a google search and nor much coming up. A couple of whole replacements on ebay but just need the screen.

My Mk2 Kuga Sync1 screen has packed up as well!, I believe there are options coded into the screen and Nav/ none Nave screens as well; ours is a BM5T.

I gave up trying to find a replacement and am taking the lot out and going with an Android based system. Our Ford screen only managed 4 1/2 years.

Will see how it goes..

How did you get on with installing an Android stereo instead?
