hi everyone i'm new to the site and i'm in need of some serious help. i recently bought a focus 1.8 tddi with and blown engine. i managed to get hold of a bottom end that i have rebuilt using all the parts from the old lump. i've used all new gaskets, head bolts, etc. the engine is now back in and running but it wont rev past 2k and there is alot of smoke from the exhaust and strangely the alternator light comes on. any help or advise on this problem would be gratefully received. thanks all.
