ford puma engines?????

Featured Replies

hey ive got a run about ford puma and last nyt while i was driving just decided to loose all power and when i slowed down eventually stalled and wont start again ive checked everything fuel etc and seems fine.

im now thinking it may be the cambelt in which case is my engine knackered??

if so, what engines newer or older including petrol and diesel will fit into my puma please??

thanks

Hi

If it is the cam belt that has failed you could get the current engine rebuilt instead of spending ages looking around for a donor engine.

It does not sound like a cam belt problem to me. When a cam belt goes the engine just goes bang there is no loss of power beforehand. It could be a fueling or an electrical fault.

You need to get the car into a decent garage that can handle engine rebuilds.

If you do need a new engine any of the zetec engine should be able to fit into it.
