pragmatix
Just about to take delivery of a 2018 plate Grand Cmax a 1.5 Tdci titanium, and was wondering what mpg folk are getting
jeeper
Hello Take little notice of the 'hype'. The best way is - adjust your dash-board display to show current mpg; and then adjust your right foot on the loud-pedal accordingly. My overall average for my ageing 1.6 petrol cmax is a true- honest 40mpg. Sometimes a little less, but mostly a lot more. It all comes down to how you drive. pragmatix
I know how to get good fuel economy my current car a 2ltr Tdci Mondeo gets 53avg, that's a proper average not a computer displayed avg. i just wanted to know so I had a benchmark
pragmatix
Well so far I've done 1134 miles in mixed conditions and my avg mpg is 43.6 a bit poor imho
pragmatix
Now done 3450 mies and the economy is up to 46.7 mpg not the best.
pragmatix
22days into ownership and 4535 miles on the clock my avg is now 53.6 I suspect the warmer weather combine with everything loosening up are the contributing factors, so not to unhappy about that. lovely little engine very willing
ScaniaPBman
There is a company that publishes real world fuel economy data. See here.... http://equaindex.com/equa-fuel-economy-index/ Just enter your car spec in the table to see what they say. ScaniaPBman.

My Focus is only averaging 44mpg on there...I can do better that in pure town traffic!
palex
For real fuel mileage, nothing better to get it from real users that contribute with real data: https://www.spritmonitor.de/en/search.html

pragmatix
I'll stick with Honest Johns seems about right or 75% of published figures, but I must say I'm disappointed as to get the figures I'm getting I'm travelling on avg 10 mph slower than in my last 3 Mondeos and getting about 10 mpg less.
