Dash going crazy!

Featured Replies

Hi!!

Hoping someone can help me?

i have a 2010 fiesta zetec .. and recently whilst driving my dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree! And the dials drop to zero & back again

this happened twice over the course of a the weekend & again on Monday so drove straight to a garage whilst it was happening and they say they won’t look at it as it an electrical fault and it will need to be a car spark .. but my nearest won’t be able to see me until next week! I drove to 2 different garages who said they won’t look at it!!

had it in at the garage near my work today and within 4 hours of looking at it they could find no fault!

when it happens there’s no warning, until the dash is lit up .. but what I have noticed is that the first light to come on is the stability one? (Maybe not the correct name! .. the one that looks like the car is sliding) and then the rest .. once it’s turned off and left for a few minutes it starts back up fine as if there was never a problem.. but if I continue to drive without restarting my power steering starts to go and then it goes into limp mode.

i have every intention of going to a electrical mechanic but really want to sound like I know what I’m talking about on what could be causing the problem!

i managed to get a video and have showed this to one of the garages who laughed and said he’s never seen that before .. great help!!

any help will be appreciated
