0121kay
So 54 plate 1.4 Focus. Was driving fine then aug 17 when I got to approx 60mph or above car would hiccup as if about to stall but would seem to catch again and carry on... VERY intermittent Took to a garage said it was a collapsing breather hose changed this all ok problem didn’t occur. Jan 18 broke down new coil pack changed at roadside by RAC short while after started again. I have changed plugs,HT leads and air filter and it is still happening. Less noticeably but it’s still worrying. Town driving ok no issues only when at 60mph or thereabouts. Any pointers would be appreciated. doggsbody
@0121kay try throttle body cleaner as it will probably have a build up of muck inside of it does over time, clean it out with a tooth brush then replace the idle control valve if it looks a bit bad as it will have built up in there too, l replaced our idle control valve after our 1.8's emmisions pipe collapsed n it runs like it's a new engine again. I also replaced the idle position sensor depending how hands on you are these can be done by you saving money rather than a garage fee on top ( the throttle body is accessible buy removing the big air box pipe )
