Hi all.  I'm new to the forum and desperately need some advice. My husband bought 2011fiesta 1.4 auto when it was about 1 year old.  It's only got 30,000 miles on the clock and the gearbox has started playing up. Doesn't want to change gear and a message comes up saying transmission fault.  Took it to a garage today and no fault codes come up on it. They advised probably the gearbox gone. Anyone know who can deal with automatic gearboxes.  We have had a look on google and apparently it is a common fault on 2011 automatics. Someone said this could cost us quite a lot but just don't know where to take it. Garages I've called said they don't deal with automatic gearboxes. Any advice id really appreciate

Hi Eddie. Many thanks for replying. Ive tried a few of these. Some won't touch it because it's automatic. Others have said I'm looking at over £2000. I am wondering about buying a recon gearbox and trying to find someone who can put it in.

Get your other-half to give them a ring and see if he gets a different answer.

Hi. Just found one. Took it in. Looking at around £1700 to repair 😩

Might be better value to trade it in for a different car.  Avoid the Powershift Fiestas though!
