Raecollie
Hi, i have a focus auto transmission and for the past 18mths or so the 'P' indicator stays on and flashes when it is in drive. It has been looked at by my usual garage and they have said everything mechanical is fine and there are no problems with it driving. I have been told it is the sensor going from the gearbox to the dash that is the issue but it needs to go to Ford. In the winter it gets better and starts to work again. My other half says this indicates it is a connection issue as the cold/damp improves the connection. I don't really want to pay a ford dealer hundreds to investigate it, i have been quoted £100+vat just to have it in the garage. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if it is something which can be fixed without going to a dealer. Thanks Rae
