Battery not holding charge, Thinkware Dashcam installed properly?

Featured Replies

Dashcam  starting turning off at like 10pm at night after i come home from work

so i've been doing some testing and its shutting off at 11.6v (which is what the dashcam is set to which is its lowest) so parking mode if only on for a few hours

i've been taking it off parking mode, and ive now switched off the dashcam altogether to try and diagnose whats going on

Engine running, i'm getting 14.1 - 14.4 volts

when i get to work in the morning, (short run) its about 12.5v

When i come out of work 9 hours later (with dashcam off) is 12v

when i come out of work with it in parking mode, it is reading 11.6v

Car starts perfectly every time in the cold mornings, just that my dashcam is turning off that's how I've noticed the voltage this low

if i give it a run after work, it is probably around 12.1v the next day

wondering if my wiring is correct for the dashcam first off all , to eliminate any issues there

Went to get the battery tested (dashcam plugged in, but parking mode off) and the mechanic said the tester is saying something wont switch off so unable to test

I'll get it tested again but i'll unplug the dashcam and see what it says this time
