Brake Warning Light, Indicators, Heated Front Screen And Central Locking!!

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Whilst out on a long run in my 2005 1.6 petrol focus estate I got a funny problem.

I started to indicate to turn right- at this point the indicator lights on the dash and the indicator sound stopped-although on looking outside the indicators were working. The brake warning light also came on-and the Heated front windscreen stopped working.

The central locking started to make funny sounds as if opening and closing.

On further investigation the only way to open the boot was by using the third button on the remote-it would not open by pressing the button on the boot (estate). Also the car will not lock-when remote is pressed all doors lock but then open.

Any ideas apart from burning the thing would be most welcome.

Apart from this did a nice 130 mile highish speed run and a joy to drive.

Thanks will have a look - funnily enough the cover above where the passengers feet are has been loose and falling down-is it under here that the connectors are?

Cheers
