1.6 Ecoboost clunk/rattle/vibration noise

Hello,

I posted recently on TalkFord about a clunking/rattle/vibration noise coming from the engine bay on engine start up, particularly when the engine is hot. Well I've now noticed this same noise at low speeds over bumps but it's especially noticeable on hot engine start after the stop start has activated. You can't hear it as speed increases - probably because of road noise drowning it out. Could this be engine mount related or something else? Has anyone else had similar symptoms? The car otherwise drives perfectly. It's a 2012/61 1.6 Ecoboost 150 focus with 26k on the clock. Full ford service history.

Thank you in advance!

*bump*

I thought this could be DMF related but I've no metallic rattling at idle and no change in noise when you depress and release the clutch pedal.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

DMF at 26k? I highly doubt it unless it was a manufacturing defect, although I'd have thought it would have shown itself sooner than 26k...

Do you have a video of the sound you can post for us?

I'll try get one and post it up for you. It doesn't rattle/clonk at idle which is what a lot of others have said they can hear when theirs have failed. It do get a rattle/clunking noise when I pull off in 1st gear and it engages drive but again, only when the engine is hot. No issue at all when engine cold/cool.
