Nope the Original Elite was designed on a BBC Micro Model B 32K with developers expansion tools it was then ported to other machines,

I used to know David Braben - very clever programmer his machine code maths was mind blowing!

Sorry I meant on St for me. Yeah original BBC was all wireframe graphics iirc?

But that is a claim to fame though! He fell out with Ian Bell didn't he?

As for sweets - some of them are back checkout this site:-

https://www.aquarterof.co.uk/chewy-jelly-sweets.html

They even have the old Golden Nuggets bubblegum - remember those?

Lol I remember asking for a quarter of something in the sweetshop. Couldn't get my head round what 100g looked like...!

My "Good old days" comments would only garner "What? You young whipper snapper, you!" type responses from you old farts

Its actually 113grams I never knew that!
So there you go we were getting ripped off even in the "GOOD OLD DAYS"

If you ask for a quarter now in the sweetie shop down the coast in Largs like I do every time I go on a Strathycruise (lol) its 250grams.
Nothing better than a day down the coast followed by a Special Fish supper, some Irn Bru and topping it off with a quarter of Irn Bru Chocolate lol
