    Update.problem found,passenger side headlight connecting block badly coroded.bought a s/h headlight with cleaner bolck fitting monday.

    Any ideas people? my titanium 2009 had failed on my headlamp unit being loose. I am presuming that is the casing to hold the light in place but apparently there are 4options and the one I need is called a fishtail model but I am being told the garage can not find a stockist for it anywhere in kent and they have even started checking ebay . Anyone ever had this problem or know why the unit is so hard to get?

    Try and get and give a bit more info. Are they xenons? Maybe 'fishtail'  is garage slang for what it really is. There will be a proper Ford part number for it... called a finis code, its 7 numbers long and Ford's spares centre is located in Daventry,  and its massive. Unlikely they won't have the part there. Have you tried a Ford main dealer? What did the mot fail report actually say.
