New to this so looking for support please. Purchased 2018 Fiesta ZETEC with above engine. Read conversations on here saying a slight rattle is ok due to 3 cylinders but think I have more than a rattle. It’s very noticeable and can’t believe a manufacturer would build a car where this is normal. Car came with service, 12 month MOT and 3 month warranty. Well established garage so believe this is a good car but if someone could help I’d be most grateful- thanks

    Bit more info needed here for someone to usefully comment:

    Is it noisy at tickover or all revs?

    When the bonnet is open or from inside?

    A video of the engine with sound might help.

    I have found 1.0s very noisy bonnet open.

    Thanks Eric.. appreciate your reply. I have attached some videos. When in neutral there is no rattle. It’s only when in gear and driving so maybe a gearbox/ transmission issue?. Hopefully from the videos you can hear the noise and provide feedback .. Unfortunately I cannot get the videos across due to size . Could I email / WhatsApp thanks
