Hi Guys.

Confirm the above, had the same issue (gear icon in the dashboard panel at high speed sudden throttle, with check handbook message, and some limp mode (not allowing to go over 120 km/h / abt. 75 mph on the highway), it was resetting after shortly turning off and on the engine.

Had it checked at local dealer, found that Oil pressure solenoid was out of order, replaced under warranty. 2017 Edge 210 bhp, car was ~137.000 km / abt. 85k miles.

Don't know about the costs.

    My 2017 Galaxy Titanium X just had same limp mode issues with see manual spanner displayed over the Yorkshire moors on steep hills so giving it some. Did re set when engine turned off for a few minutes...garage diagnostics showed the oil solenoid failure and said it was a common fault! Now replaced today, £240 all in....let's see what happens

    Having the same issue as @John250: Code: P06DD - Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Performance/Stuck Off. Only when driving uphill on a steep slope. Amusingly this only happens on a very specific hill in Wales - and I live in England. Does anyone know the part name for: "Oil Pressure Control Solenoid" for a Ford Edge 2017 2.0 Sport? I suspect that may be the cause. Thank you!

    Just search "oil solenoid" in the Edge forum, this has been discussed at length many times!
