Hi, have a 2006 Fiesta Style with a 4500 RDS Eon radio and CD player. The radio and CD have always been fine until some interference started to appear on AM, fairly suddenly. FM was better if a little distorted. Appeared to be ignition noise as was in step with the engine rpm. Replaced the aerial base as found it had a little water ingress inside. Aerial cable seemed to be dry. Pretty much cured the interference but the sound on AM, FM and CD now sounds a little distorted and 'thin'. I assume that the interference was coming through because the signal was being weakened by the water ingress and the tuner was upping the gain to compensate. Odd, or what?
