Autodoc parts warning

Featured Replies

I was fitting a clutch kit to my Mondeo Mk4 and was sent the incorrect part that arrived damaged (deep scoring on the thrust plate) and unusable I stepped through the returns process and after a lengthy wait I was told that as the part looked like it had been fitted, irrespective of the damage, I would not get a refund and that was that. So I could either pay to ship the part that is damaged, and doesn’t fit my car, back to me or have them dispose of it. I assume they will just send it out to someone else. Awful customer care. Will not use again even if it costs me more. Nearly £400 out of pocket. Stay local guys. Good luck finding parts at a good price.

And are you prepared just to accept them saying that you will not get a refund and that is that ?! They would try that attitude once with myself and there would be hell to pay. I am very much "I am the customer and I am telling you - end of discussion". I hope you get something sorted bud and get your funds back in your pocket. ***** idiots.

Absolutely dreadful company. I had similar experience. Avoid them

Get on to customer service and don't take no for an answer.

I ordered Sachs shockers and they sent unbranded with no explanation or refund.

A lot of to'ing and fro'ing, but they eventually exchanged.

Autodoc is complete roulette for quality, sometimes fit and forget but at other times you wonder if they have even seen the car you are working on.

However the fact remains, Autodoc is a handy place to get OEM part numbers and search around.

This is also good for finding parts numbers from diagrams https://partsouq.com/
Sometimes a chore to find the right section though

Finding the right part number in partsouk for obscure bits the Dealer no longer stocks is a lifesaver.
Having snapped a stud on a bog standard Lancer that cannot be ordered, finding its the same part on an EVO was very handy.

Update…..

I continued to argue and repeatedly got the same response. Once I posted a trust pilot review they got in touch and offered a small good will refund of £80. I then continued to argue and also stated I would post a negative review everyday for 30 days and ensure I cost them more custom than my refund. On day three of this they sent me a full refund.

moral of the story; don’t take no for an answer

well done
