Fiesta (2007 1.4 petrol) will not re start when hot.

Featured Replies

Hi, my 1.4 petrol Fusion which I assume has the fiesta engine will not re start until cooled off, any advise appreciated, thanks in anticipation. Al.

please clarify. does the starter motor spin the engine over at the right kind of speed when it is failing to start. (I ask as years ago I had a car that was hard to start when hot but when trying to start when hot the starter motor struggled to spin the engine which turned out to be an internal fault in the starter motor.)

Hi isetta, thanks for the reply, Everything is as normal but the engine will not fire until it has cooled. I wondered if it could be fuel evaporation from a hot engine but why this should suddenly start who knows.
