Rear Fog Light move to left side

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. I am about move back to the Netherlands and intend to bring my Mk2 Focus estate. In the Netherlands the rear fog light has to be on the left hand side. So I will have to but the EU spec rear light assemblies, but I then have to change the wiring as well. Has anybody done this before? If so, is that a difficult task? Would someone have the wiring diagrams of both versions to see if I can do it myself?

Regards,

Maarten

ive added reverse light to the left side and added extra fog to the right. its just a mater of having the right fog light for the side and running wire from one side to the other as in splicing from original loom

I was going to say the same as said above. Once you have a bulb in the right place just take a feed directly from the existing bulb.

Are you allowed to have a for light both sides in the Netherlands? Please excuse my ignorance. If so then you can disconnect the existing bulb and potentially move the whole socket across to the other lamp and extend the wiring to reach.

not very helpful, but ...  it's very annoying how some cars have one fog light and one reverse light on other side, whereas as some have both lights on both sides and hence don't have this kind of problem.   And having two reversing lights is very useful. I know a reversing light is good so that the person behind knows you are reversing but what is more useful is the illumination it gives behind you when reversing in the dark, and having one low down reversing light on the left side of car is just not up to the job for that.

Anyway, as above, just splicing in the wire from the other side is an easy job.
