Fiesta nightmare

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I’ve got a 2007 1.6 diesel feista and I’m getting the cog light and engine error message when I push on my brake pedal hard, “normal” brake operation has no effect only hard braking. I’ve changed both the switches multiple times checked several wires from switch to abs module and ECU and I’m still no further forward

I forgot to add that the fault disappears when the cars turned off and then on. Also when planning about with wiring I managed to get the fault to clear but the brake lights didn’t work

get a fault code reader on it.

My brother has a 2007 1.6tdci fiesta , the fault code on his indicates it needs a new ABS pump. It's now sitting in his garden with expired MOT.

But on his the ABS light is on. Also has the other light on but that seems to be caused by EGR related error codes.

Assume you have checked brake fluid level.
