monkey×wrench
Hi, when i got this Focus 1.6 petrol, it was gurgling and vibrating pretty loudly on acceleration, especially noticeably uphill, even with a moderate load. Replacing the front (rear) bushes, which were totally shot, helped quite some (much more for road bumps though), but the real (temporary) change came with replacing all engine and transmission mountings. Drove and sounded almost like a new car - for 4 months. Now the sound has returned, it's subtle, but it's there again. Hard to localise during driving, but sounds like center bottom to passanger footwell. Took a look underneath; interestingly, the (long) passanger side driveshaft has no noticeable play - or is that because the middle support bearing holds it in place? The shorter, drivers side shaft does have noticeable play, but it's moving up/down! ---> video https://streamable.com/49p4z Did the spider gears in the differential get worn out? Thanks in advance!
