My car suddenly became more responsive and powerful

Featured Replies

When I was driving along the motorway, the car suddenly got a bit louder and the throttle became more responsive along with engine becoming more powerful the point where I didn't have to down shift to be able to accelerate quickly from 50 to 70mph.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be (I could just be imagining it).

Thanks to anyone who replys.

Maybe it was the nice ice cold dense air on the motorway. I had this happen once on one of my old motorbikes, never did get to the bottom of it and it never did it again!

You don't say what engine...if it's a diesel, it was probably doing a regen.

When you find out what caused it let me know as mine needs a kick up the backside :tank:
