fixings for car mats? 2009

I Have a 2009 (59 plate) Fiesta. (Only purchased this week)

The car mats I have seen online and in stores all seem to have 2 holes for fixing to the floor.  However, my little car doesn't seem to have 2 plugs on the floor, for the car mats to fix to.  Can anybody help me out.  Are there supposed to be fixtures on the floor?  Just at the edge near the drivers seat there are 2 flaps in the carpet, but nothing that car mats can attach to.

Any ideas?
