Fiesta 2004 1.4 Electrical Issues

Featured Replies

Hi all, just wondered if anyone can help please. I'm currently trying to resolve an issue with a family members fiesta. It's 2004 and 1.4 petrol.

When you turn the ignition on, at position 1 just the oil pressure light and door open light come on, nothing else. When you turn to position 2, nothing else comes on and does nothing when you turn it to start. All of the aux functions (radio, heater, lights etc) all work. The mileage, digital fuel and digital temp displays do not come on and display nothing. The immobiliser light does not come on.

So far, I have checked the battery (has 12.2v) engine bay fuses and fuses behind glovebox. I have also put in a new ignition switch but its no different. I've checked for loose connections in multiplugs and behind fuse boxes but all fine.

Does anyone have any ideas or experienced anything similar?

Many thanks in advance
