Android Auto Issue

Featured Replies

New Fiesta this year but can't get Android Auto to work. (I think) I've tried everything. Have others had problems?

Is Android Auto enabled on your phone and also in your car settings?

Is your USB working? Does the car pick up the phone as a possible audio source or start charging it?

Remove Android Auto from your phone and reinstall it, do not open it. Connect it to the car amd then if it does not auto open do it manually and that should sort it. There is usually a pop up on the phone the very first time you connect.

Just to make completely sure (no offence intended) you are using a USB lead and not trying to make it work via Bluetooth are you?

Not going to be any offence taken here Jonro. It's more than likely something simple but I am using a USB lead. I'll try the steps in the order you mentioned in the morning.

The USB does charge the phone.

Also make sure you allow notifications for Android Auto on your phone.

I've had an instance of a cable not working too so try a couple, good quality ones if you have them.

Use the usb supplied with the phone
