Focus Mk1 Ghia Traction Control Switch

Featured Replies

I have just acquired a '03 plate 1.8 TDCi Ghia, and the ESP switch is missing from the centre console (there is a hole, and the plug & wiring look OK).

I obtained a S/H switch, but it does not 'latch' - ie stay on when pressed until pressed again to switch off.

Should it?

On my Mk2, the ESP disable switch does not latch. You have to press it for a couple of seconds to disable it, then it will always re-enable on the next ignition on cycle. I am sure the Mk1 will be similar, so there is no permanent disable.
