This is my very first post so I thank u all in advance for help. Basically I have a 54 plate mondeo with a 6 disc Sony CD player. I done a belt cha ge on it yesterday and had to unplug and take of the alternator so I disconnected the battery. My radio is now asking for the code but this is causing me a lot of issues. I have the code and k ow it's the right one for the car but can't input it into the radio. You have to press number 1 to toggle through the first number. Press 2 to toggle through the second one as so on. Every time I press number 4 to do the last number it locks back out and the count down starts from 30 mins again. I've tried doing that number last and first but every time I press the number 4 the digit only goes to one then locks. I'm upset with this as this is the first car I've had where I've really liked the factory stereo. Any ideas?

i have no idea why it does that. i am guessing that car uses same stereo as some other fords. you could try putting the query in the Ford Focus forum where it might be that a lot more people read it.
