Hey!

Wondering if someone can help, or point me in the direction of someone who can....

My old man has a MK4 Mondeo, 2007, 2.3  couple of weeks ago he was driving and the whole car shut down, had it towed to our local mechanic who diagnosed an ECU failure. Had the ECU sent to an ECU specialist who confirmed water ingress and not repairable. The dilemma is what to do now. Apparently a second hand ECU cant be re-coded to the car and Ford want £1800 + VAT + Coding for a new item. 

Has anyone had the same issue (I imagine so by the ECU's location.

Does anyone know anyone who could help?

    they have online chat, we’re very helpful to me as my mk4 mondeo is completely dead and the body control unit is being checked at the minute, no power at all, these can check ur ECU and rebuild it
