Hi all,

Looking to buy 2014 mondeo estate with auto gearbox. My question is about the auto gearbox. Should I avoid or are they as good as any other auto gearbox in other cars.

    Just to give you a bit more information the gearbox on that car is 6DCT450.  From this you should be able to gather more informaiton in your quest

    The auto box isn't exactly an auto on that car. It's a powershift wet double clutch . Basically as long as the powershift box has  had its oil and filter changed every 3 yrs or 37.5k  there fairly  reliable. Insist on seeing the service invoices at those service intervals. Wouldn't buy one without proof of this.
