Mondeo mk 4 2.0 diesel warning light and limp mode

Just done 3000 miles in a couple of months.

On way back from last trip and spanner warning light comes on went into limp mode. Got home left it overnight and this morning no light on? Set off but again no power but no warning light. Turned back for home warning  light came on engine surged, mirrors folded in, dashboard went off . Got home any ideas or solutions please
