Good afternoon everyone, 

MK4 Mondeo TDCI zetec 1.8 (2010)

Just wondering if anyone has any advice about this problem with my gear selector

It's gritty when pulling it towards to rear of the car (2nd, 4th and reverse) but feels fine going towards the front of the car (1st, 3rd, 5th)

Here's a video showing of exactly how it sounds and feels as I pull it back

    That sound like the selector rods in the engine bay where they slide in and out of some plastic sheathing. I just spray a bit of with grease on them and then go through the gears to get the grease worked in.
