This is my first post as I have aquired an 1992 Escort MK5 XR3i 130 in black with a V5 and currently on the road.

Never thought it was much of a car but have googled for HRS with not much luck. Looks like its a rare car to me.

Any info will be appreciated.....

Yes it does....

What do you need to know? Although I haven't worked on one since 2003. Two of my friends had one, one brother had a RS2000 and the other an Orion Ghia SI (same engine).

A common problem that I've seen between these 4 cars was a corroded fuse box where would stop the fuel pump from working, changed on one of these cars twice! (for brand new).

I think the front discs are bigger than the standard Escorts too.

Do the rear quarter windows open on yours?

The car is good and running well, done all the fluids including the odd gear box oil, but trying to get it valued for ins purposes is not easy as from what I can see there is nothing similar currently on the market. According to carlogbook.co.uk its the only 1992 XR3i 1800CC 130HP currently on the road.

I was hoping there was some more site which could give me an idea of its value.
