Reversing lamps

Afternoon Gentlemen I’ve noticed my reversing lamps are not working, has anybody had same problem and what was the fix

There are only so many things that can go wrong with reversing lamps it will be a process of elimination to find the cause:

First do the obvious - has a fuse or bulb(s) gone?

Is the wiring in good condition and connected cleanly/well?

Is the activation switch for the lights working?

Has some sort of computer module thrown a wobbly> Are there any error codes?

It will just take a bit of time and patient detective work but I can't imagine there will be much wrong that you won't be able to fix cheaply

If youve checked the obvious the chances are its the reversing light switch at the gearbox common fault

on my focus it just needed the plug connector pulling off the switch and putting back on to fix it. so it was dirty and / or corroded connector.

now an MOT failure for cars from 01 09 2009 onwards in the changes that came in last year I think
