Mondeo Mk11 Air distribution control unit

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. New member here. Does anyone have, or know where I can obtain, an air distribution control for a Mondeo Mk 11, 1997. Desperate for this because mine has serious vacuum leaks which is more than likely affecting the lambda sensors and seriously messing up the emissions levels at every MOT. I have read the post about this, and how to clean but it hasn't helped as the "diaphram" (?) inside the rotary control has perished so much that there is hardly any vacuum passing through the unit at all. The part is no longer available from Ford and I have tried a lot of salvage places, but given the age of the vehicle nobody has one. Hope somebody can help me here as my car is in excellent condition and has only done 66000 miles. Yes, that's genuine! So I really need to get this fixed. I'm also looking for the vent actuator, (red and yellow vacuum pipes) and the main triangular vacuum reservoir both of which are located behind the dasboard.  Photos attached which I hope will help. I really hope someone may be able to help me out !! Thank you.

I'm thinking firstly to find the Ford part numbers, known as finis codes, of the items you're after. Looking on www.catcar.info will help there. Then, do some online searches for nos items using those finis codes.

2ndly, some websites let you set up alerts for car parts or even whole cars, so look at doing that also. I'm NOT a Facebook person myself, but there are Ford marketplaces on there to explore too. Talkford.com also has a 'parts wanted' section and also a whole forum for MK1/2 Mondeo's for you to try your luck in.
