Hello,

I'm new to the forum and I live in Belgium.

I have a ford fiesta mk7 with the trend pack and I would add

the ambient light (glove box + empty pocket ) as the titanium pack.

To do this, I bought all the necessary parts to make this improvement:

- Light glove box-set: 1820762 (€ 74.16)

- Light-empty pocket: 1513144 + 1852047 LED (€ 41.75)

I checked behind the plastic (dashboard) but I do not have the cables origins

to make the connection as certain models. (Otherwise connection parameter + change in IDS)

My questions are as follows:

+ With that power must be supplied to LED? 12VDC? (If someone with the pack titanium bit check)

+ Where can I find non-permanent 12VDC?

+ Does anyone tried mounting the headlight switch?

+ Does anyone have the electrical diagram of the car?

A big thank you to all

Ambient lights are usually set to come on when sidelights are on.

Best way is to wire to the numberplate light wire behind the headlight switch.

One wire to the wire behind the switch and an earth to any body grounding point.

I did work out the correct wire colour for someone else recently but cannot recall at present.

I have a full Ford workshop on PDF somewhere, I'll post up the relevant circuit diagram section for you tonight.

Checked and you run a live wire to either of the indicated blue wires (blue/brown or blu/white) for live with sidelights and the black/grey for earth.

Hello,

A big thank you for your answer as fast, I think I will succeed with your wiring diagram.

Another little thing, do you think the original LED 12VDC or works with a different voltage?

Sincerely you,

I think it is misunderstood

One to help me

  • 2 months later...

i have followed this guide and got to where i need, however when it comes to splicing the 12v supply, i tried pin 11 and 12 but they only provided 1.5v and when they where connected they turned on the rear fog light. im still trying to fiigure out what pair to splice again without damaging any more wires.

figured it out, I had to take a 12v+ feed from my curtasy light and set the return feed to pin 2 on the light switch. using hte light switch pins only delivered 7v supply wihc did not light up the lights.
