MONDEO 2010 STARTING PROBLEMS

Mondeo 2010 1800 tdci starts ok from cold but if left for 20-30 mins it wont start again for a few turns of the key.

Had it checked at local garage and they said fault code was the EGR valve which they replaced , still getting the problem but no fault codes coming up now. 

Any one able to give me some pointers as to what the problem could be?
