Mondeo 2015 Transmission problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2015 Automatic Mondeo and recently had a problem with the car losing power and not changing gears. Also a message pops up saying transmission problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so what was it and how was it fixed?

Thank you.

Hi, only just come onto site, so only just seen your post.

You don' say what model you have. The only MK5 Mondeo's I have knowledge of that have all exhibited your problem have been diesel vehicles.

I am aware of 4 cases - in every case people were condemning the transmission, which, in the diesel, is the Getrag Powershift 6DCT450/MPS6

They were all early build vehicles. In every case the problem turned out to be the EGR valve
