hi all im just about to purchase a mk3 mondeo. looked over car and spot on apart from when turned the main beam on .ther was a bulb out .but when turning on and off the hazard light came on without pressing the hazard light switch which did seem to do anything . just wonderd if it because a bulb has blown .ans norbmakingbrthe ciruiy

Hi! The mk3 is a gr8 car. Congratulations on getting one. 👍.  Can't quite make out what your query is.... Are you saying that the hazard lights start flashing when you turn the main beam on/off? 

yes thats right pal im buzzing about getting one but yeh when i turn lightz on main beam the hazards come on but ther is a blown bulb on drivers side but the hazard button dosent not work either with light on or off. but indicators work fine not sure the problem though if it is the bulb that as blown causing  thanks for the reply

I guess the 1st thing to do is check if the bulb that isn't working is any good... could be over the years the wiring had been fiddled with or modified in some way by previous owners.  Do you know how to remove the headlamp to get at the bulbs?  There's a few guides on here on this forum, and a very good wiki called www.fordwiki.co.uk, where you'll find loads of good info.
