Auto levelling lights

Featured Replies

Good afternoon all. I am hoping someone can help me with this one.

I have a 57 plate Mondeo Mk4,  titanium X. I had a malfunction with my lights and with closer inspection the cabling internal to the light cluster was corroded so bad that 2 cables had snapped.

I have now replaced both light clusters and keep getting a front light malfunction warning. My initial thoughts is that the original lights have the automatic light steering. These new lights do not. Is the ECU looking for something that isn't there and therefore showing a fault?

Is there a way of suppressing this? Can I simply delete any fault codes and the problem will be solved?

The lights are not being affected, but the warning is just annoying. I am happy with not having the steerable lighting as that would cost a fortune to buy.

Anyone else changed the lights and found the same issue?
