Bluetooth audio streaming on 2010 Mondeo.

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some help with this.

I have a 2010 ford Mondeo; it's got the Ford converse system and the Sony 6 disc in dash head unit.

Bluetooth for calling works fine.

So, I've been looking on the forums and it was suggested that I needed to get a later model Bluetooth module for the car.

So, I have kept an eye out on eBay and bought a new Bluetooth module at a reasonable price.

Swapping it out was easy, powered everything up and I still only have Bluetooth for calls.

The module I bought is 8M5T-19G488-AT, the original module looks as though it should have done the trick as well as far as i can see, that was an 8M5T-19G488-AN.

I tried to complete a firmware update on the units by plugging in a usb to the usb port but the car doesn't even see the usb as an aux interface. so, no joy there.

Has anyone got any pointers on where i go from here please?

You bought the same model so you have bluetooth only for calls.

You have to buy a 8M5T-19C112-AM to have bluetooth audio streaming
